To deploy SMS text campaigns through your Total Expert dashboard, you must first connect the Twilio integration and purchase a new phone number through your "integration settings" menu by clicking your name in the top-right corner. The phone number costs $1 per month, but you receive a $2 budget monthly from Total Expert to send and receive texts. Texts costs $.01 per sent and received.


To note, you have the option to purchase more messages by going to “Phone Number Settings.” Click “Buy More Messages” at the top.

After you purchased your new phone number, you can send texts through the CRM. The messages, both sent and received, are tracked in your Activity Stream.


Follow these steps to set it up:

1. Add a payment method to your CRM account by clicking on the settings menu in the top right corner and clicking "payment methods."

2. Go to the settings menu and click on Integration Settings.

3. Then, click "connect" next to the Twilio integration option. You must purchase a phone number that the SMS texts will be sent from. Since you will be sending them through the CRM, you are required to purchase a phone number instead of using an existing one.


After you purchase the phone number, you are ready to start sending texts to your leads/contacts.

You can send texts by selecting contacts in your main contacts menu, then clicking "actions" and "send an SMS."






If your contacts try calling the number you text from, the call will automatically be forwarded to the mobile number set up in your Account Settings.


When you send the first SMS to a contact, they will first receive a message from us confirming if they would like to opt in to text messages from you.  This message will contain your name and a link to our privacy policy.  If the contact replies "Yes," they will then receive the message that you sent and any future messages, but they have the right to opt out at any time.
