There are two different type of notes you can add to contacts:

  • General Note - These notes are stored with the contact for a long period of time. They are not able to be edited, only deleted/replaced. 
  • Contacted Note - These notes appear in your activity stream and are used to signify that a contact has been contacted. 


  1. On the left navigation, click Leads & Contacts > Contacts.
  2. Use the search bar to quickly find your contact(s).
    • Search by name, email, or phone number.
  3. Select the name of the contact. 
  4. At the top of the screen, click Actions > Add Contacted Note OR Add General Note.
  5. Input note information and content. 
    • If Contacted Note was chosen, click Submit Note
    • If General Note was chosen, click Submit.
      • Checking Make Note Private makes the note private and will not be visible to co-marketing partners.
