What is the Difference Between a Drip Campaign and an Auto Campaign?

Drip Campaign - Campaigns that send out series of communications to contacts OR groups. Click HERE to learn more. 


Auto Campaign - Email campaigns that reoccur. Allows for communications to be automatically sent to groups of contacts. Click HERE to learn more.

What Time of the Day Do Emails Send From Drip Campaigns?

Drip campaigns send emails at 10:00 AM. The time zone depends on where the organization is located. This time can be updated.

Can I Add Individuals to Auto Campaigns?

No, you cannot. Auto campaigns require entire groups to be assigned to the campaign. Simply add that specific contact to a group then add that group to the campaign.

How Do I Remove Certain Contacts From Getting Emails From an Auto Campaign?

Since auto campaigns are assigned through grouping, you need to do one of the following:

  1. Remove the specific contacts from the group that is assigned to the auto campaign. 
  2. Create a new group that does not have those certain contacts in the group, then re-assign that group to the auto campaign. 


Tip
Create specific groups for auto campaigns so you do not need to remove certain contacts from general groups. 


Do Contacts Get Added to a Campaign After I Add Them to a Group on a Campaign That Is Already Live?

It depends on what kind of campaign you are adding them to.

  • If adding contacts to a group that is associated with an auto campaign, the contact will be apart of that campaign. 
  • If adding contacts to a group that is associated with a drip campaign, you need to re-assign that group back to the campaign for them to be successfully added.


Does a Contact Need a Valid Email Address in Their Contact Information for the Mail to Send Successfully?

Yes, the contact needs a valid address. The platform does not validate the address itself.  


Can I Add a Contact to a Drip Campaign Twice Through a Group?

No, you cannot. The contact is skipped if the already assigned to that campaign from a group. 


Can I Delete an Auto Campaign?

You need to remove any groups you have assigned. 

  • Note: Depending on how you have your autocampaign configured, re-adding the groups might not get the contacts back exactly where you want them without some additional changes.

What Address Is Used When Sending Print Auto Campaign Materials?

The campaign pulls the information in the Street Address, Street Address 2, City, State, and Zip Code fields from each contact record on the campaign.
