How to Use a Domain Name That is Already Used on Another Website

This process takes you through how to setup a subdomain.  

  •     Only some co-marketing partners have access to complete this task.


  1. Login to your domain registrar (Bluehost, GoDaddy, Google Domains, etc).
  2. Go to the DNS records and add an A (HOST) Record.
    • The name of the host are your subdomain ("homes" or "listings"). 
  3. Point to the following IP address: 18.216.40.237
  4. Navigate back to your Total Expert platform. 
  5. On the left navigation, click Web Marketing > Domain
  6. Click Add an Existing Domain
  7. Input your domain URL with the subdomain at the beginning (examples: "homes.site.com" or "listings.site.com" using the examples from above) and update your settings.
  8. Click Submit.
  9. On the left navigation, click Web Marketing > Single Property Sites
  10. Check the box next to the website you want to update. 
  11. At the top of the page, click the pen and paper icon
  12. Under the pencil icon, click the globe icon (Publish). 
  13. Under Website Domain, update to your new domain name. 
  14. At the top of the screen, click Actions > Save.
