How Does the Co-Marketing Process Work?

The following steps outline the process of making a co-marketer connection.

Inviting Co-Marketing Partners

There are two options when it comes to inviting co-marketing partners:

  • Inviting contacts that already exist in your system
  • Inviting co-marketers that do not exist in your system by inputting their email address

  1. On the left navigation, click Co-Marketing Partners > Invite New Connections
    • A pop-up box appears.
  2. Under Enter Your Connection's Email Address for Co-Marketing, type in the name of the contact or input their email address if they are not a contact in your system.
    • Note: Please ensure there are no spaces if inputting emails.
  3. Choose Create Invitation OR Next
    • Clicking Next sends you straight to sending the invitation if multiple connections were selected.

If Create Invitation was Chosen

  1. (Optional) update email content (if applicable).
    • Note: The email subject header automatically pulls in your account name ({{ sender.f_name }}) while the email body message automatically pulls in the recipient name ({{ recipient.f_name }}).
  2. Click Send Invitation

If Next was Chosen

  1. Input contact information, click Next.
  2. (Optional) input license and MLS information, click Next.
  3. (Optional) add a profile picture and/or logo image, click Next
  4. (Optional) update email content.
  5. Click Send Invitation

After the invitation has been sent, the co-marketer receives an email asking them to accept.

Co-Marketer Accepting Their Invitation

Note
The co-marketer receives an email asking them to co-market after the invitation has been sent.

  1. Navigate to your email inbox.
  2. Open the email labeled [Name] Invited You to Co-Market on Total Expert!
    • Note: The email subject field may be different.
  3. Follow the instructions to accept and create your profile.

Example of email invitation:

If the co-marketing partner does not have a TE account, the accept invitation button brings them to a page where they set up their account. If they do have an account, they are prompted to sign in to the TE platform.

Tip
If you don't see the email in your inbox, search your junk/spam folder for "Total Expert."

Reminding Co-Marketers to Accept Their Invitations

There are a couple different actions you can take to remind your co-marketer to accept their invite.

  • Send them a private email - Remind them to check their inbox for your invite.
  • Copy invite link to your clipboard - This gives you the direct URL link that they need to open in order to create their profile.
  • Delete - Delete the current invitation that was sent, then resend.

How to Send a Private Email Reminder

  1. On the left navigation, click Co-Marketing Partners.
  2. Under the Actions column, click Actions > Send Private Email
    • Your email provider appears.
