What’s New in Total Expert?
Across our recent releases, Total Expert continues to emphasize smarter data with new features like Rate Enrichment and stronger communication tools like Engage SMS. The Spring 2025 Release continues to accelerate your ability to capture more opportunities, act on them efficiently, and deliver personalized experiences that build lasting relationships.

⭐ Engage SMS & Mobile: Keeping Loan Officers Connected
We continue to improve Engage SMS to help loan officers make every moment of engagement more impactful.
- Enhanced Contact Details in Mobile – We’ve provided loan officers with more visibility while they’re on the go. Engage SMS users can now view a contact’s recent notes with outcomes and tasks in the mobile app.
- Unread Message Priority Listing – LOs can now more effectively manage text conversations as unread messages will appear at the top of their list of text conversations.
- Engage SMS Logging – We’ve also built additional logging for SMS reports and analytics to help administrators track the success of Engage SMS.
- Push notifications have also been improved—now taking users directly to the relevant message thread when clicked.
⭐ Rate Quotes: Product Pricing at Your Fingertips
Now supporting Polly, in addition to Optimal Blue, loan officers can make pricing engine requests to build out rate flyers or rate quotes. Watch the video below to see how making rate quotes right from the contact record helps loan officers keep the conversation moving with potential borrowers.

Outbound Data Connector Enhancements: Helping Improve Efficiencies for Administrators
Organizations will be able to improve the address quality of contacts and the delivery of Firm Offers of Credit (FOCs) when they are using Customer Intelligence and DirectMailers. The new enhancements introduce automation to help notify administrators of delivery errors and the steps to correct them.

Added most recent loan data on the contact record, which allows filtering in Pipeline Views by an expanded set of standard loan fields. - Campaign Builder Optimization
Campaign builder campaigns scheduled greater than 24 hours out will see improved time to delivery. - Scheduled Email Sends in Journeys
New journey action that provides the ability to send an email to a contact at a scheduled date/time.

Our new OneSource integration helps loan officers continue building strong relationships with borrowers post-closing.

Total Expert MLS data available for Integrated Design Studio (powered by Maxa)
Beginning May 30th, admins and loan officers who use our Integrated Design Studio (powered by Maxa) will be able to leverage Total Expert’s extensive MLS network access. With this connection, integrated users will be able to build property flyers, open house materials, and postcards quickly and easily for listings from connected co-marketing partners.
Platform Enhancements: Small Touches, Big Impact
Ongoing improvements across the platform make for a more polished, productive user experience:
- Update Default Disclaimer Type to "Sub-Disclaimer"
Ensures the default disclaimer type is “Sub-Disclaimer” and reduces usage of deprecated disclaimer types. - Add Validation for Duplicate Disclaimer Names
This enhancement would introduce front-end and back-end validation to ensure that each disclaimer name is unique in an organization. - Date Field Improvements
Reformats placeholder dates in email builder formatted as YYYY-MM-DD to the more commonly accepted MM-DD-YYYY. Also, replaced a default value of "01/01/1970" in certain parts of the platform, which could cause misleading outputs, with an empty value. - Improved Logging of Group Deletions
Added data to the data log that tracks the user ID, group ID, and explanation to help administrators track activity in the platform. - Ability to sort email recipients by who have been selected in Email Sender
You can now sort by “Selected”, bringing all chosen contacts to the top of the table. This enhancement reduces friction for high-volume senders and streamlines last-minute list reviews.
Increased Description Character Limit for Email, Print, and Social
Add Sender URL Fields to Button "Link To" Options in Email Builder
You can now link buttons and images in the Email Builder directly to sender-specific URLs stored in user profiles. When configuring a button, select “User Field” from the Link To dropdown, then choose from a list of available profile fields like social media links, application portals, or review pages.
- Displayed Number of Marketing Assets*
The number of items in each folder or tagfor print, social, and email now display to the right of the folder or tag to enhance browsing efficiency for the loan officer or admin. - Expanded Social Posting Links*
Users can now access additional personalized links for social posting, making it easier to drive engagement with tailored calls to action. This update supports teams publishing high volumes of social content by providing a broader range of destination options.
- Expanded Contact List Rules for Mortgage Information*
New filters for "Legal Entity Name," "Borrower Entity Type," and "Pre-Approval Issued" (Yes/No) in contact list rules (Mortgage Information section) so that Pipeline Views can be built using mortgage information related to the contact in their inclusion and exclusion rules. - Clearer Phone Number Labels in Contact Headers*
Easily identify the type of phone number (cell, work, home, office) in contact headers, improving outreach efficiency and reducing the risk of dialing the wrong number. - Updated Label in Notes Widget*
The "Last Updated" label has been changed to "Created Date" to accurately reflect that Notes cannot be edited after creation. - Improved Task Button Accessibility*
The "Complete" and "Delete" buttons in tasks now use brand colors and are ADA-compliant for improved visibility and usability. - New Filters in Pipeline Views*
Pipeline Views now support a variety of filters based on most recent loan data, allowing loan officers to create targeted lists and identify new engagement opportunities. - "Last Outcome Date" Sorting in Focused View*
Users can now prioritize their lists by sorting based on the date they last recorded an outcome, ensuring follow-ups happen at the right time. - Renamed "Email Activity" Filter for Clarity*
The "Email Activity" filter in inclusion/exclusion rules is now labeled "Historical Email Activity" to clarify that it reflects past opt-out status, not the current opt-out state. - Smoother Email Builder Editing*
Editing layouts in the email builder is now more intuitive. Easily select and manage rows, even with edge-to-edge styling, for a seamless design experience. - Expanded Social Posting Links*
Users can now access additional personalized links for social posting, making it easier to drive engagement with tailored calls to action. This update supports teams publishing high volumes of social content by providing a broader range of destination options.
