How to Deep Link Contacts Using External IDs

• Not all contacts have an External ID. 

Deep linking allows for users to search in their URL for a specific contact by using the contact’s External ID found in contact details. 

1. Input the following in your URL: totalexpert.net/contact/external/{external_id}
2. Input the contact’s External ID inside of the {external_id} (above) bracket.
3. Click Enter on your keyboard to initiate the search.
4. The contact record appears.
   • The URL reverts to the contact’s ID (totalexpert.net/contact/{contactID}) rather than displaying the contact’s external ID.
